### Summary

This position is located at multiple MWR facilities on Fort Wainwright.

### Responsibilities
1. Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
2. Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.
3. Stocks bar.
4. Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary.
5. Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor.
6. Receives and checks quantity and description of stock.
7. Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.

***Conditions of Employment:***
1. A physical is required.
2. Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
3. Stands for prolonged periods.
4. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
5. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15j(1) to include a medical examination.
6. Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

### Qualifications
Candidates must:
1. Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment (age 21 or over).
2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
5. Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.
