### Summary
The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is Fort Wainwright and surrounding communities within 150 miles of the installation. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)
This announcement will be used to fill vacant positions within the Business Operations Division and the Community Recreation Division on Fort Wainwright, AK.

### Responsibilities
1. Incumbent operates a field-type tractor with attached and towed equipment.
2. Plans the order in which work is to be accomplished; transports materials and equipment; and digs, loads, plants, clears,mows and dispenses liquid and solid materials.
3. May operate under different conditions, such as mud, snow, and areas where trees and shrubs present operational hazards.
4. Performs minor maintenance on field-type tractors and attached and towed equipment.
5. Makes multiple connections between the tractor and attached or towed equipment.
6. Adjusts the equipment for job requirements such as setting the height of mower blades, depth of plow blades, and the rate of application of sprayer attachments.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

***Conditions of Employment:***
1. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13,f., and i. are required.
2. A physical is required.
3. Frequently requires continuing arm and leg movements to operate tractor controls and manipulate equipment controls.
4. Operator is usually exposed to long periods of hot sun, dust, and bad weather
5. Applicant must be physically capable of lifting supplies and materials up to 100 pounds; frequent arm and leg movements to operate tractor controls, and exposure to pollen and chemical fumes, weather extremes, and possible cuts and bruises.

### Qualifications
1. Applicant must have one year related experience in operating and performing minor maintenance on a field-type tractor and associated equipment.
2. Applicants must have and retain valid driver's license.
3. May be required to obtain a Government motor vehicle operator's permit.
